1966 Oldsmobile Cutlass - 11/10/2016

Vehicle: 1966 Oldsmobile Cutlass

Story:

This here is a beautiful 1966 Olds Cutlass. Currently has the stock big block with some head and cam work as well as full exhaust and built th400.

The customer came to us for installation of upgraded suspension from Hotchkis. As well as switching out the rear end gearing to a shorter gear to help this big boat take advantage of the Mickey Thompson Radials she is sporting.

The customer thought the car came with a ford 9" rear end already. It turns out that when we took it apart it only had a for 7.5" rear end. Which definitely wouldn't handle the power and torque this big block will soon be making. So we reached out to our good friends over at Moser to see what options they had for us. In less then a week they had this nearly upgraded ford 9" assembly wit a 4.10 rear gear and a wavetrac posi unit. This should do the trick.

The goals for this customer are 800whp on nitrous would should translate into a 10 second daily drive able monster. Can't wait for the next stages of this build.

MODS:
-Hotchkins complete rear suspension
-QA1 front double adjustable coilover setup
-Moser 9" rear end with 4.10 gearing and Wavetrac Posi unit
-Jegs Drag Wheels
-Mickey Thompson Drag Wheels with matching front runners
-Long tube headers with straight pipes 3" exhaust back
