Another Level 2014

Though the show may be over and the cars are all nicely tucked back away in their cozy spaces, Another Level 2014 was one hell of an event. The show has come a long way in the years since its inception and we are glad it seems to have knocked out most, if not all of the kinks. This year, like last, the show was put on at Boomer's Stadium in Schaumburg Illinois. Last year was fun, and interesting as it was actually inside the stadium, but along with that came a lot of headaches. This year the show was in the auxiliary parking lot and it couldn't have gone smoother. As a presenter the day starts quite a bit earlier than the actual show and we arrived, vehicles in tow, at around 10:15am. After a "quick" unload we headed out to get some lunch prior the the actual event start.

The weather couldn't have been better, albeit a bit on the warm side. The turnout for the event was crazy. We could tell from the start of the day that this was going to be one to remember and it didn't disappoint. The majority of the day was spent hanging out at our booth letting people know about the Hayabusa Powered Smartcar we affectionately refer to as Smartacus. I took a few laps around periodically throughout the day to get some picture of some of the other vehicles so be sure to check out our gallery page to get a look at a sample of the images we got on the day. The day was a long one, but it was a lot of fun getting to meet so many new people and talk cars with folks from all different walks of life. When we wanted to stir up some excitement we would crank Smartacus over and rev it up and instantly there would be a crowd. Not to mention the ladies love Smartacus too.

By the end of the day we were beyond tired and looking to go home not expecting to take home a trophy as Smartacus is technically a Mercedes Benz product, and there were several other Merc's that were due. Surprisingly we go 1st in class for 'Other.' I'm still not totally sure what we were up against, but we are glad to take home a trophy. We wanted to take a moment to thanks all of our supporters be they friends, family, customers, whatever. We couldn't be doing what we love for a living if it wasn't for your support.
