Vehicle: 1986 Buick Grand National
Story:
This beautiful Grand National was acquired by this customer from a trade for a motorcycle. After he got his hands on this gem, he met a gentleman at a car show that was very familiar with the platform. This individual not only had 2 GN himself. But he would offer to build them out of his garage on the side. To make a long story short, the customer had a very poor experience in which involved spending a lot of money on a build in which the builder wouldn't even inform him of what was put into the build.
All the customer knows is that the motor was build and stoked, the turbo was upgrade, and the fuel system is setup for E85.
That being said the work that is done looks very clean and done properly. But there is a lot of unknowns with this build....
That leads to it arriving at Underground. On our to do list was to diagnose and fix a no start issue which in the process we swapped out the whole wiring harness. We uncovered several electrical connections that were burnt and melted. So definitely a good thing that we did this. Also we did a basic "tune up" with spark plugs, wires, coils, etc. After that was all done we got her to start up. And the good news is we are able to tune it for him as well. So we are in the process of uncovering what fuel components are put into the build and will be dialing in the tune once everything is smoothed out.
