Turbo Build-'12 Dodge Charger R/T

Vehicle: 2012 Dodge Charger R/T - Pursuit Edition

Story: Mike came to us wanting to completely transform his Charger into a Street Monster. What better way then to throw a turbo under the hood. Not only did he want it to make a good amount of power. But he wanted to keep the look semi-sleeperish as well.

Starting with that we needed to address the overall stance of the vehicle. Being a retired police vehicles. It still had the hardened suspension that is use to holding extra weight. Giving it the look of being 10ft off the ground. We dropped this bad boy on a BC coil over setup paired to a set of American Racing wheels. Planning ahead we did make sure to have the rears setup with Nitto NT05R radials to help plant the power as much as possible.

Then we began the fun part. Adding the Monster Borg Warner S475 turbo under the hood. Being the car is lowered its very important to not have any ground clearance issues to allow for daily driving. As well it was important to make sure his A/C is still fully functional. As you can see we did relocate a couple pieces to make this happen but overall a very straight forward kit. We were able to keep the A/C as well as fit a full 3.5" downpipe as well.

To be able the new power we were going to produce with this setup... We gave a call over to our friends at Southern Hotrod Transmissons and they set us up with a Gen3 Viking NAG1 and a 3200 stall converter.

Fuel system we went ahead and opted for ID1000's paired with a Single Walbro 450lph pump which we fitted into a stock fuel had inside the tank. Other then those 2 components the rest of the fuel system is stock.

We then got to tuning to which we would start out with 93pump gas to get some base numbers. We had a 10psi spring in the wastegate with anticipation to be running E85 all the time. So boost is a little higher then what we would normally set a pump gas car up with. But for a few dyno pulls during tuning it was just fine. Below are current numbers we have seen out of this setup.
